1. BABIES - I love babies, human or animal it doesn't matter. I loved having babies of my own but am thankful they are mostly grown. I am looking forward to being a grandma someday in the future (not too soon) but for now I am enjoying children of friends and co-workers. There is a bit of a baby boom going on at work and I am loving every minute of it. Watch out Nicole, I will be stalking you throughout this pregnancy!

2. BIRTHDAYS - I don't care how old you are, everyone should be treated special on their birthday.

3. BIRTHDAY CAKE - No chocolate please. Preferably, white cake possibly with a custard filling and white frosting. It wouldn't be complete unless it is topped with "Happy Birthday ____" and some colorful flowers.

4. BLING - Nothing too gaudy. But every girl young and old, thin or not, needs a little bit of bling to feel like a girly girl.

5. BIBLE- My Bible brings me up close and personal with God. It tells me how it is. It tells me I am flawed and unworthy but God loves me anyhow and His story can be told through me if I listen, learn and follow His plan for my life.

6. BROWN- Brown is my black. I love brown. I am also my mother's only brown eyed baby.

7. BLUE EYES - Blue is not one of my favorite colors unless it is on your eyeball. My husband and children all have beautiful blue eyes.

8. BEACHES - I love the mountains but enjoy a trip to the beach every now and again. Preferably beaches with white, powdery sand. I have enjoyed beaches in the Caribbean, Texas, California and Florida. Caribbean & Florida beaches being my favorites.

9. BLOGS - I love reading blogs!! All of you are so interesting. Some of your posts get me laughing so hard- I just love that! I especially love your pictures. It is a great way to catch up with friends. I have found gazillion Scrapbook Blogs. I stalk them all frequently and get great ideas. My blog seems quite dull compared to most that I read but I really enjoy it!

10. BAUER (as in Jack Bauer) - CTU field agent on 24.... I am 2 seasons behind so let's not discuss him other than the obvious......He is an incredible hottie and when he is passed out, surrounded by terrorists and nerve gas, and handcuffed to a table leg, Jack Bauer laughs to himself and says, "I have them right where I want them."

LUNCH WITH GOOD FRIENDS

Miriam left for Brazil today so we decided to get together with Kelly for lunch to say good bye. We don't get to see Kelly much so it is always a treat when we get together. We laughed so hard that I am sure people were wondering what we were drinking! Miriam was a little nervous about being gone for a whole month without Ely and is also concerned that she may get sick while traveling. We prayed for safe travel and fun times for her and her family.

Happy Birthday Card

My sister-in-law has a Valentine's Day birthday. She always gets lots of heart stuff and I'm sure that can get old. I decided to make her one of my fun new Matchbook Cards. I like the little thing! It fits nicely in a mailing envelope. If I add anything to it - maybe some ink or chalk around the scalloped edge so it doesn't appear so "sharp". The little flower on the inside is actually a cut out (with the snazzy cricut). I put a scrap of pink paper behind it. I hope she likes it. Hey! who got me into cards? Cheryl, is it your fault???

We do good work don't we? These are some beautiful peek a boo valances. Don't think I will attempt it again - I will stick to scrapbooking. Thank you girlfriend!! My room is complete.

Matchbook Valentines Cards

I made these little cards tonight. They are called matchbook cards. I cut them on my Cricut (Plantin Schoolbook) and put the ribbon on & then added the rub ons. It took me a bit to figure out the dimensions but finally came up with a 4x5 card. I have seen sewn edges in scrapbooking & card making so I thought I'd give it a shot. I learned I can't sew a straight line to save my life. So only the Hugs & Kisses card has stitching. I pretty much ruined it and didn't want to do the same to the Love card. I had fun making them & will play with the design a little more & think I will make some matchbook birthday cards.

Love of My Life Page

I made this page to frame and hang in my girl cave. The tag has the dictionary.com definition of the word "love". On the vellum strip at the bottom I just printed lots of "love" words. Slapped them and a photo of Mike & I on a pretty valentine sheet and put it all on a black page. I kind of like it......Be gentle - remember I am new at this!

Oh Happy Day!

Matthew called today and said. "You know how much I love you don't you?" I thought "oh no, what does he want?" He told me he found my camera! It was at his apartment all along. It just so happens, we both have identical cameras. He was cleaning up the place and picked up the camera and put it up where he normally keeps it. He went on cleaning and came across it again! He said he thought he was going crazy. Luckily, he and everyone else in the world knew I was missing my camera so he called with the good news. I am a happy mama tonight!

New Shelving

My sweet guy put some shelves up in my Girl Cave while I was at
work today. Don't they look nice?
Every time I turn around he gets me another cool something for my scrapbook room. The pretty (and super comfy) leather chair was a very thoughtful anniversary gift from him. I feel very loved today.
Gotta go do some creating! I will keep you posted on the continuing transformation of my play room.
